#SOLIDWORKS CAR BODY DESIGN VIEWS FREE#
I found some free tutorials in Youtube but they are all fast motion videos that I couldnt make anything out of them. A multibody part can be used as an intermediate step towards a single body or an as alternative to an assembly. Hi guys, I want to dive into car modeling using blueprints but I need some good tutorials beforehand to learn the fundamentals about the car body design using surfaces in SOLIDWORKS. My senior design project involved a fully-integrated SolidWorks model to allow the group to visualize how items within the project should be placed and how each aspect of the circuit will fit.A multibody part occurs within SOLIDWORKS when there is more than one continuous solid inside a single part file. This project was the most fun I had in design up to that point, mainly in that I had the chance to model a project after a car in one of my favorite movies at the time (Tranformers) and I was also excited to learn some powerful tools in SolidWorks. The design element which took the most time to design was the curves for the door panels. The ZipZap also required tabs to attach the frame to the circuit and wheels (not shown) and had holes for both the lights and the antenna. The body side was referenced with the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro and modified artistically. The whole body is a complex array of surface features, along with body extrusions and lofts. The final piece was colored with black stripes to mimic a Bumblebee Camero from Transformers. Solidworks Model of ZipZap body I created and printed on a 3D printer.
